About EVVOV

EVVOV.art: The Studio of Ewa Potocka, Now Open Online

Nestled at the edge of the world, EVVOV.art resides in an ancient riad within the labyrinthine, thousand-year-old Medina of Fez. In this inspiring space—reminiscent of Dracula’s castle, but with an Arabic twist—paintings are born from the contemplation of the world and conversations with artificial intelligence. These works reflect on the evolving realities, the absurdities of contemporary life, and a celebration of existence itself, which, in its essence, is also an art form.

The idea behind EVVOV.art stems from a deep desire to share a passion for art. In a world increasingly dominated by robots, artificial intelligence, capitalism, corporations, and automation, art remains one of the few enduring pillars of humanity, individuality, and independence. Art, undeniably, heals us.

For EVVOV, art is not only therapeutic but also a language for communication and a medium for contemplating reality. By opening this studio to the world—both physically and virtually—EVVOV seeks to maintain its independent voice, unbound by institutions, politics, nations, or corporate influence.

The studio doors are open to art enthusiasts and collectors, as well as those seeking unique artistic experiences. From Art Therapy workshops to Painting Parties, EVVOV welcomes meaningful conversations and shared moments of creativity. The gallery also offers design objects crafted in collaboration with artisans from the Fez Medina.

Here, you can purchase paintings directly from a living artist—without intermediaries. EVVOV also shares stories, inspirations, and reflections in its blog section, Art Life Stories, giving insight into the world behind the artwork.

Artistic Focus

Living in Morocco, in a culture so distinct from her own, has offered Ewa new perspectives on the intricate details of life.

Her artwork, showcased on this site, captures observations of Moroccan life as seen through the lens of someone who is neither fully integrated nor entirely detached—a hybrid identity shaped by change. In Morocco, traditions merge with modernity and the omnipresent virtual realities that define our era. Her visual dialogues with artificial intelligence aim to rehumanize the portrayal of individuals while offering an ironic commentary on contemporary life.

Feminist themes hold a special place in her work. She often explores the empowered image of women, reflecting on their evolving roles and conditions in society.
